MEET THE TEAM

 Dr. Jennifer K. Billingsley is a doctoral-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner who has been working in primary and geriatric care for over 12 years. Dr. Billingsley obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Science of Nursing from Arizona State University in 2001. After several years employed as Director of Critical Care and Nurse Education Specialist, she obtained her Master’s of Science degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Grand Canyon University in 2007. Dr. Billingsley completed her doctoral work for her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree on “Multi-Faceted Education to Reduce Potentially Inappropriate Medications'' in 2016 and was selected as a Distinguished Faculty Scholar in the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at Grand Canyon University. She also spoke about “Bridging the gap between the Elderly and Community” during an International Wholistic Mission Conference. Last year she was the Keynote Speaker at United States University’s Biannual Research Colloquium presenting on the topic “Creating a Data-Informed Decision Making Culture.” She had the opportunity to share her story on Raise the Line Podcast with Osmosis.com, a leading health education learning platform. She was selected to be a Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) site evaluator to actively participate in the national accreditation agency.  In 2019, she was commissioned as a Care Minister from Stephen’s Ministry to allow her to provide one-to-one Christian care to those experiencing a difficult time in life. She was recently nominated as a finalist for the March of Dimes, Arizona Nurse of the Year award in the clinical practice field. She currently serves as the Dean and Professor at United States University, based in San Diego, California, where she is empowering Family Nurse Practitioner students to reach their dreams of becoming the next generation of clinical providers. She is dedicated to partnering with her patients and their families to determine the best plan of care and decreasing incidence of hospitalization. Her hobbies include hiking, running, and biking in the beautiful Arizona landscape.
